"I researched for months, to find a suitable jacket/outer garment, with Hi-Vis properties; to wear while motorcycle riding. Having ridden for over forty-three years; I have had numerous close calls, from drivers who did NOT see me, or were simply too distracted to see me. I wanted something that would stand out on the road; and give me some degree, in depth of field for drivers (at night, motorcycle headlights alone trick a driver's depth of field). This windbreaker offers me the degree of "DO YOU SEE ME NOW?!", that I was looking for. I ride to work during the early morning hours (usually in darkness), and ride home in early evening; and the Hi-Vis Lime Green, with the 3M Scotchlite strips; does offer me a very noticable presence on the roads. This windbreaker will also fit over my winter riding jacket; while adding another layer of warmth, during the cold "leather weather" riding months. I haven't encountered any rain yet; so I don't know how it'll wear through a good shower or storm. But after a few more weeks of field trials with this; I think I may order one for my wife, if this one is able to withstand what I put it through." (E11694)
