Waist Measuring Guidelines: Stand straight and relaxed with heels together. Measure around the NATURAL waistline, over the body (not over clothing), keeping the tape parallel to the floor. It is critical that you measure the natural waist (not the drop waist) between the ribs and the hips. The number of inches shown is the waist measurement. For an accurate waist measurement, do not allow the person being measured to suck in their stomach. This may result in a uniform that will fit too snug.
